- wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/open-vm-tools/open-vm-tools-2008.08.08-109361.tar.gz
- cd open-vm-tools-2008.08.08-109361/modules/linux
- mv vmhgfs vmhgfs-only
- tar to vmhgfs.tar
- cd /usr/lib/vmware-tools/modules/source/
- mv vmhgfs.tar vmhgfs.backup.tar
- cp the new vmhgfs.tar to the folder
